Ataahua translates as beautiful in Te Reo Maori, and beauty is what you will discover.
Elegant European inspired gardens cloaked in native bush form a stunning setting for your wedding, function or special occasion.
This is my absolute favourite venue of them all.
You will be spoilt for choice when looking for the perfect position to recite your wedding vows. After your ceremony, your guests can mingle, wander and explore the grounds, play croquet or petanque, the perfect entertainment while you have photographs. Your romantic garden wedding will be complete with your reception in our traditional marquee, or maybe you would prefer our elegant indoor alternative.

Black Walnut Venue
Black Walnut venue is absolutely stunning and another incredible location where you don't need to leave the venue to get amazing photos.
Set on 5 Acres of land in the beautiful Pahoia area, amongst towering Black Walnut trees, mature gardens, a Kiwifruit orchard and woodlands we have created a stunning Wedding venue that offers a huge variety of settings and scenery.
Due to the large amount of space at the venue there are many options for ceremonies which also gives you a lot of choice for great photography too. They are very flexible when it comes to your needs and even offer various dwellings for prep and accomodation all on site.

Waingarara Venue
I may be bias as this venue is close to home, but it really is top of the list.

Just 15 minutes scenic drive from Ohope Beach is a quiet oasis, surrounded by native bush and stunning views over the landscape. Our rustic log cabin holds 150 of your guests, with an expansive covered deck to take in the scenery and which offers the perfect indoor/outdoor flow.
Overlooking the surrounding countryside with the Waingarara Creek flowing through the valley below, this picturesque setting is an ideal location for any event.

Planning a smaller Wedding but still want the breathtaking location and lux?. Then this ones for you.
Imagine rolling hills, a private white sandy beach backed with hanging pohutukawas and even a waterfall. The estate is breathtaking and absolute first class from its location to the home itself and all the finishings.
Hillbrook is ideally suited for weddings. The farm and beach offers a blank canvas for the Bride to explore and create a unique event of her dreams.
Old forest school, BAY OF PLENTY
Old Forest School
Hidden in the middle of a forest, near the heart of the Bay of Plenty, you’ll discover a rather special gathering place. Old Forest School had humble origins as a country school in 1933, spent many years shuttered and forgotten, but is now gently restored to have a new life as a stunning events venue.
From the elegant white backdrop of the original schoolhouse to the whimsy and charm of the 1943 built tennis court to the numerous rustic barns and cabins, Old Forest School feels like a wee village waiting to be explored where the most unforgettably magic memories are about to be made.

Omahanui
Renowned for the abundant gardens and cascading greenery, Ōmahanui is something else. As you wander down nature’s pathway awash with collective birdsong, towering gum trees meet native bush and flowing waterways. Arriving at the alfresco lawn area and stunning modern marquee, you’re met with a truly impressive event setting.
From the bamboo grotto to the manicured vista lawn, they have several picture-perfect ceremony spaces for you to choose from – both intimate and expansive.
After the ceremony, guests can enjoy sipping champagne while journeying through our gardens before arriving at your dream reception. Come evening, the open fire pit illuminates the garden, and guests dine and dance the night away in the spectacularly lit marquee.

Falls Retreat
Falls Retreat is a unique rustic property ideal for an intimate wedding of 60 guests with a romantic pagoda overlooking Owharoa Falls.
Brad and his team serve mouth-watering dishes to impress your guests and are fully licensed with an extensive bar list which includes award winning wines to share with friends. If you are a foodie, this place is for you.
The barn style dining with its open fire place is in keeping with the rest of the property so whether it's a summer or winter wedding the venue can work to fit in with your plans.
They also have three charming cottages to choose from, providing the bride and groom (or guests) with a delightful place to stay ( they even provide a delicious home-made breakfast the following morning).
There are photo locations a-plenty around the area with the venue nestled in the Karangahake Gorge with magical ruins and a waterfall nearby.
